Sales & Business Development Manager (NAM)

Job Summary

The Sales & Business Development Manager will have primary day-to-day responsibility for the planning, implementing, managing and controlling of all commercial but especially Sales and Marketing activities in the territory.

Duties & responsibilities

1.      Identification and execution of sales opportunities in the molecular diagnostics in relation to PCR and NGS platforms.

 

2.      Development & Implementation of Sales Strategies on territory to meet sales and business objectives. Familiar with reference labs, POLs and hospitals in the territory.

 

3.          Development of tactical plans to maximize revenues

 

4.      Consultative selling on clinical utility, operational and financial value of products while trust and relationship with customers.

 

5.      Negotiation of contracts and execution of pricing strategy to maintain existing business and creation of new business.

 

6.      Provision of accurate product forecasts and timely information on planned system installations.

 

7.      Recognition of market trends and competitive intelligence within territory.

 

8.      Daily use of Salesforce for management of customer related information to increase sales effectiveness.

 

9.          Building up new customer funnel and develop these customers

 

10.      Establishing relationships with existing customers and expanding business

 

11.  Implementing for prospecting and existing customers ongoing business assessments and customer segmentation which leads to target customer groups with individual customer business development plans

 

12.  Directing and monitoring all aspects of the sales and marketing requirements for customers under, such as marketing plans sales and budgets

 

13.  Grow the business to accommodate the appropriate increases in head count inline with Vela group’s revenue expectations.

 

14.  Managing, monitoring and analyzing customer accounts for sales forecasting and achievement cost control, profitability and credit management.

 

15.  Providing timely and accurate analysis of market trends, budgets, financial and currency trends for forecast.

 

16.  Responsible for the development and adherence to sales and marketing budget and strategy.

 

17.  To support sales campaigns

 

18.  To monitor competitors’ activities and strategies

 

Job Requirements & Attributes

•       Preferably 5 years experience in a Sales and Marketing position in a dynamic organization.

•       Direct and hands-on experience of Sales and Marketing operations in a dynamic multi-national environment.

•       Direct customer interface and experience in the molecular diagnostic Industry; calling on reference labs, POLs and hospitals

•       Bachelors or equivalent degree in Science (Biology or Chemistry), from an accredited college or university would be an advantage

•       MBA Qualification would be an advantage.

•       Strong interpersonal and team skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization.

•       Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

•       High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

•       A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Traveling is required.
